This policy sets out the basis on which we will process any personal data you provide to us. Personal information is information that is personally identifiable like your name, email address, phone number, etc. By using our website, you consent to the terms described in this document. We do not collect any personal data unless you actively sign up for our newsletter or sign up for an event. Thus, we do not collect or save any personal data when you visit our website.

Data Controller

Nordic Growth Hackers is a series of public talks and events organized by SimpleSite ApS. SimpleSite is the Data Controller of any personal data provided by the user. SimpleSite ApS is registered in Denmark under company number 10079861. The address of our registered office and principal place of business is Toldbodgade 31, st. tv., 1253 Copenhagen K, Denmark.

What Personal Data We Collect, Why, and How

Nordic Growth Hackers does not require that you enter any personal information to visit https://nordicgrowthhackers.com/.

We do save some personal data if you sign up to our newsletter or book a ticket for our event.

If you sign up for our newsletter:

If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect the following data:

— Email address: this is needed to send you the newsletter.
— First name: this is to personalize the newsletter.
— Time of registration to the newsletter and IP address: this is for security and legal reasons, so we can confirm that you have consented to the newsletter.
— Information on whether you have opened and clicked in our emails sent to you: this is for our reports.

— You must actively accept to submit the newsletter through our newsletter sign-up form.
— You accept that the above data is saved when you sign up.
— We always treat your personal information with the utmost care.
— We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
— If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter, please unsubscribe via the unsubscribe link found in the footer of all our emails.
— If you wish us to remove your personal data, you can easily write to us, and we will help you.

If you book a ticket to an event:

If you book a ticket for our events, we collect the following data:

— Email address: to send you the confirmation and information on the event you have booked.
— First name: this is used for your name tag for your entry pass.
— Company name: this is used for your name tag for your entry pass.

You can only actively book a ticket to the event through Billetto, where you consent to Billetto’s Privacy Policy. We always treat your personal information with the utmost care and the above data is therefore only saved up until an event. When the event is over, we do not store, save, or process the data anymore.

Cookies

— We use cookies so that we can see, among other things, how many people visit our website.
— We do not save any cookies on your device without your consent.

Embedded Content

Some pages on this site include embedded videos from external websites, e.g. Vimeo.

Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if you visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who Has Access to Your Data

If you have not registered for an event or our newsletter, there is no information that we can retain or view regarding yourself. If you have registered to an event or the newsletter, the personal data you have provided can only be accessed by our system administrators.

Third-party access to your data

We don’t share your data with third-parties in a way as to reveal any of your personal information like email, name, etc. The only exceptions to that rule are for partners we have to share limited data with, in order to provide the services you expect from us. Please see the providers below.

Purpose: we use MailChimp to send you our newsletters and/or information about an event if you have signed up for our newsletter or an event.

Personal Data Location

Security Measures

We use the SSL/HTTPS protocol throughout our site. This encrypts our user communications with the servers so that personally identifiable information is not captured/hijacked by third parties without authorization. In the case of a data breach, system administrators will immediately take all the needed steps to ensure system integrity and will contact affected users.

Your Data Rights

In accordance with Article 26 of the Danish Act on Processing Personal Data, you are entitled to request that any personal data we collect on you can be rectified, deleted, or blocked.

We store no personal data from your visit on our website.

If you have registered to our newsletter or signed up to an event, you can request an exported file of the data you have provided to us.

This information is free, it shall be processed within one month, and is usually transmitted to you via email (also via post upon request).

To receive applicable and detailed information, please provide us with details as to the personal data or type thereof concerned (where possible). To ensure that the person requesting the information mentioned above is the person they present themselves to be, we require a proof of identity, e.g. IP address or email address.

GDPR Rights

Your privacy is important to us. We support the GDPR standards. SimpleSite and Nordic Growth Hackers permit residents of the European Union to use their services. Therefore, it is our intent to comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation.

Third-Party Websites

We may post links to some third-party websites on this website. These third-party websites are not screened for privacy or security compliance by us, and you release us from any liability for the conduct of these third-party websites.

All social media sharing links, either displayed as text links or social media icons, do not connect you to any of the associated third parties unless you explicitly click on them.

Release of Your Data for Legal Purposes

At times, it may become necessary or desirable to SimpleSite and Nordic Growth Hackers, for legal purposes, to release your information in response to a request from a government agency or a private litigant.
