On April 23, 2015, Morten Elk and SimpleSite have opened the third edition of Nordic Growth Hackers at Founders House in Copenhagen. Created and hosted by Morten Elk, founder and CEO of SimpleSite, the event brings together some of the brightest talents in the tech community to share their stories about growth hacking and inspire future growth strategies.
In his welcome keynote, Morten Elk argued that “Onboarding is about doing all the right things at all the right times for the user. It’s about teaching them the product. It’s about helping them if they get stuck. It’s about helping them to connect to their friends if there’s a social aspect of the product. If you do that right, more people will actually experience the product, more people will get the value, you will convert more, you will be more viral, and you will retain them longer.”
Speakers from companies like Libratone, GoBox, Queue-it, Billetto, Airtame, or Brisk.io have all somehow tackled one of Morten’s points that touches on the artificial divide between growth hacking and value. They strongly show that it doesn’t make any sense to think of one or the other when they are, in fact, part of the same process: to create value by being creative, and then to be empirical in everything that you do to promote those values and let others know about it.
